‘Tis the Season

Con season, that is.

We were thrilled to meet friends both old and new at HEROES in Charlotte, NC in mid-June. Organizer Shelton Drum of Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find does a fantastic job putting together a convention featuring creators of all stripes, resulting in an atmosphere of camaraderie and dedication to the fans of comic art and writing that is hard to beat. CreatorLaw was also privileged to co-sponsor the Friday Night Drink and Draw, hosted by Chris Sparks and Team Cul de Sac, with proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

CreatorLaw was also in attendance at San Diego Comic Con. The show was bigger and better than ever in its 48th year, celebrating the life of Jack Kirby in what would have been his 100th birthday year. The casts of several films and television shows such as Justice League, Legion, Inhumans, Game of Thrones, Defenders, Preacher, Westworld, Agents of Shield, Ghosted and many more wowed the crowd. SDCC proves beyond a doubt that the unquestioned leaders in movie and film content are comic and graphic novel creators. Comic writers and artists are the engine of the multi-media entertainment business and are showing no signs of giving up that title any time soon. It was a pleasure to see so many friends, clients and associates over the long convention weekend and we look forward to assisting and working with you all in the coming year.

CreatorLaw will be visiting with friends and clients at Wizard World Chicago on August 24-27 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. For upcoming announcements of cons we will be attending as the season rolls on, as well as other exciting announcements, come back the CreatorLaw blog or check out our Facebook page and while you’re there, give us a like!
